Participant of START Hack 2025

36h Hackathon

START Hack 2025 was an exhilarating 36-hour hackathon organized by START Global, bringing together teams from around the world to develop innovative software solutions for a variety of companies and organizations, including (but not limited to) the United Nations, Virgin, Belimo, and Syngenta.

This trip was our first-place prize from winning Start Code 2024! Read more about Start Code 2024 here.

The experience

Participating in START Hack 2025 was an incredible experience that allowed me to meet with talented individuals from diverse backgrounds. The intense 36-hour timeframe pushed us to think creatively and work efficiently under pressure.

Although we did not win, the experience provided valuable insights into the hackathon process and the importance of teamwork and effective communication. It also reinforced my passion for software development and innovation.

What did we make?

As a participant representing Texicon AS, our team was tasked with creating a solution for Virgin, focusing on enhancing communication and collaboration among their global teams.

We conducted extensive research to understand the unique challenges faced by Virgin's teams and developed a prototype that integrated various communication tools into a single platform, with a world map interface to visualize team locations and facilitate real-time collaboration.
